The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

  • Reading
    • More reading for the Cybils Awards!
    • I finished listening to  Into the Tall, Tall Grass and then listened to Ember Falls.
    • I read The Unexplainable Disappearance of Mars Patel, The Time of Green Magic, When You Trap a Tiger, and The Lost Wonderland Diaries.
  • Working on office redesign. I spent a lot of the day yesterday figuring out how we can reconfigure the office to get the basement TV up there (since Jade doesn’t watch it and we don’t want Noah sitting in Jade’s room watching TV all the time). Then we moved everything out of the office into the dining room so we can paint in there. That was a big job (especially emptying out my bookcases)! Scott also mudded the new drywall for the framing we put up for the double doors (still need a couple more coats).
  • The Dogs! Digit is mellowing out into a dog instead of a puppy, which has been nice for me. I no longer look like I’ve been fighting wolves on a daily basis—my arms are scratch- and bruise-free and my clothes aren’t getting new holes daily! He still has TONS of energy that we need to help him get out (usually with a ball in the back yard. He’s amazing at playing fetch and catch—better than any dog I’ve ever had), but he doesn’t burn all that energy in destructive ways anymore. Yay!  Here’s a new pic:

Are you done with that bone yet?

  1. I recently put on a pair of pants from last year that had Lulu holes in them. Lol. I had forgotten that she used to bite my pants. Those pants were made into rags. 🙂 It’s nice when they get less destructive! I did catch Lulu in my kid’s room the other day destroying something, though. She was like a kid in a candy store!

  2. Haha, great photo. I’m glad Digit is mellowing! I had to stop wearing long sleeve shirts when my dogs were puppies because they put holes in all my sleeves. I still have a scar on my wrist from when Cheyenne was a puppy. She died in 2018, so now I remember her whenever I see it.

  3. That photo is adorable. I’m glad Digit is starting to be less destructive in his puppy-ness! That’s always good. And whew, you’re getting SO much read for the Cybils. Great job.
