The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
We had some absolutely gorgeous weather this week, so we tried to spend a little bit of time outside. It’s supposed to snow again tomorrow, so we need to take advantage of it while we can!
- What I Read:
- I finished reading List of Ten by Halli Gomez (loved it—watch for my review and the author’s Top Ten Addictions on Tuesday).
- I read Get a Grip, Vivy Cohen! by Sarah Kapit and Moonglass by Jessi Kirby.
- I finished listening to Send Me Their Souls by Sara Wolf and then started listening to Salty, Bitter, Sweet by Mayra Cuevas.
- I’ve also been reading a friend’s manuscript for feedback.
- TV We Watched:
- Supernatural. We’re finally almost done with season 9. We haven’t been able to decide if we’re not really enjoying the second half of this season because we’re not watching it as often or if we’re not watching it as often because we’re not enjoying it as much. (Maybe both?)
- Blown Away. I’ve been enjoying this glass blowing competition show on Netflix.
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:
- Balancing Spending on the Blog, Making Money, and All the Moral Dilemmas that Go Along With It

The weather was beautiful this week. I’m glad you got to enjoy it! I’ve been stuck inside working. Hopefully I can get out for a walk more often during the coming week.
Yeah, it almost got up to 70, so we couldn’t resist sitting out on the porch for a bit with the pups. Hopefully soon it will be time to get all the lawn furniture out from the garage attic!
I’ll be reading the List of Ten book soon too. And I loved Salty, Bitter, Sweet, especially since it had a connection to Kansas City, Ks, where I teach! So I think the season 9 of Supernatural was a rough one. But I kept going and season 10 had some of the funniest episodes and I think that might be when they got to where they were kind of poking fun at themselves which made it all worth it. I almost gave up in season 9. But kept going. And then I almost gave up the last two seasons, but decided to binge last year and was hooked again. I found out I had to put my phone down and pay attention to enjoy it. LOL.
We finished season 9 last night, and we definitely liked the end. We also liked the first half of the season a lot, so I guess I can’t really complain much about not being crazy about a bit of the middle.
Boo to more snow! I am glad we are not involved in that storm system. We went from having the A/C on back to the heat. It was nice while it lasted. I have Moonglass. Hope it was good (since I plan on reading it someday). Hope your headache is better.
I’ve been having perpetual problems with headaches lately. Ugh!
It was cold, rainy and cloudy here this week and I loved it. Supernatural does get better after that season.
We finished the season last night. We liked the beginning and the end; it was just the middle that lost us a bit. Of course, it will be interesting to see where they go now that Dean’s a (SPOILER ALERT FOR ANYONE WHO HASN’T WATCHED SUPERNATURAL)demon(SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER).
We enjoyed the sun this past week but I think rain is back this week. March is all over for weather. Happy reading!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Yeah, I saw a meme with Chicago weather and it reminded us about Fake Spring and Fool’s Spring and Second Fool’s Spring—every year there are some nice days that get your hope up!
Hasn’t it been nice? Hopefully the snow holds off or isn’t too bad!
Have a great week! I love watching glassblowing.
The glassblowing show is really interesting! My daughter and I have gone to a local glass place and made some solid projects, but definitely no glassblowing. It’s pretty cool to watch!
Oh man! I seriously need to watch Supernatural sometime! Hope you have a great week!
It’s a lot to watch all at once! We started on Season 1 at some point during quarantine and we’re all the way at season 10 now (just finished 9 last night), but it goes all the way to 15!
I’m glad you had nice weather! We had a blizzard. I spent all yesterday and this morning shoveling driveways for people. I can barely lift my arms now. Have a great week!
Supernatural is a show I’ve been meaning to watch for ages. I know I’ll like it if I start- Snow today then hopefully 60s by the weekend. Could be lots worse so I’ll take it. So many great books to pre-order!
It sounds like you guys had a wonderful weekend! And I can’t wait to see what you think of Send Me Their Souls by Sara Wolf. I have had that one on my tbr and wanted to finish that series the end of last year, ack. Here’s hoping you enjoyed it!
Begone, snow!! NO MORE!! I enjoyed the outdoor weather this week too. Sad that it’s cold again so soon.
It’s so crazy to think of it snowing there when it’s in the 80’s here all week and we’re running the AC!
I will check out the Book of Ten. We watched Supernatural live as it aired on television. Hope this week is delightful!
I hope your headache has passed.
My daughter is a huge Supernatural fan and still crushed that it’s ended.
Wishing you a great reading week
I had some nice weather last week too but now it’s a bit rainy. It’s supposed to rain a lot tomorrow. Sigh. I guess that’s the downside of Spring being so soon. LOL I hope you have a great week though!! I watched the movie Yes Day on Netflix over the weekend and it was really cute.
