The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
- Writing: Same update as last week: Working away, since I promised myself I’ll get it to my critique partners by the beginning of October! (AKA next week)
- Serving at Church. I sang with our worship team both last week and this week (and next week, I think), and this week I actually led a song, which was both exciting and nerve-wracking. So, I had to do a bit of practicing this week. 🙂
- What I Read:
- I finished reading Pie in the Sky by Remy Lai and then read How to Find What You’re Not Looking For by Veera Hiranandani.
- I finished listening to Shatter the Sky by Rebecca Kim Wells and started listening to The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins.
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Haul:
For Review:
I signed up for the blog tour for Rick Riordan’s latest, Daughter of the Deep. My son LOVES Riordan, so he was extremely excited to see this book when it arrived. Thanks, Rock Star Book Tours and Disney-Hyperion for the review copy!
From NetGalley:
I recently got approved for a few more reads on NetGalley. First off, I got Cupcake by Cookie O’Gorman, cover illustration by Elizabeth Turner-Stokes. Lots of bloggers I know loved O’Gorman’s last book, so I thought I’d give this one a try. Next up is Little Thieves by Margaret Owen. The amazing cover was illustrated by M.S. Corley. And finally, I received The Art of Running Away by Sabrina Kleckner. Couldn’t find the cover artist for that one, so if you know if, let me know.
Thanks to Entangled, Macmillan and Jolly Fish for the review copies!
Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

Good luck on finishing your WIP!
I sang with the choir in my high school. It was fun. Lots of books and singing. Sounds like a good week.
Here’s hoping you enjoy Cupcake so much! I’ve read every single one of her books and loved them all! I’m looking forward to jumping into that story hopefully this weekend, yay!
I think you’re the one who put O’Gorman on my radar first!
