The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
What’s been happening since my last Sunday Post:
New Bookcases: I promised pictures of the new bookcase once it was done, and luckily it was sunny enough today to take decent ones. Here’s a pic of the full bookcases. I’m going to post more pics on Instagram too, with close-ups of the different sections. Feast your eyes on this beauty…
What I Read:
- I finished reading The Mystery of Locked Rooms by Lindsay Currie. Absolutely loved this book!! Not only is it suspenseful and fun, it has a ton of heart.
- Then I read Ink Girls by Marieke Nijkamp, illustrated by Syliva Bi. Set in a fictional city in Italy, this historical fiction graphic novel highlights printers who put their lives on the line to bring news to the people.
- I finished listening to Ungifted by Gordon Korman. I thought this book relied a little too heavily on stereotypes of gifted kids, but the overall message was one of inclusivity and belonging, which balanced out that negative for me.
- Then I started listening to Ophie’s Ghosts by Justina Ireland. I really loved Ireland’s YA, and her middle grade is just as good!!
What I Watched:
- I’m watching the current season of Survivor and The Amazing Race. I might as well not even mention this anymore since it hasn’t changed.
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

New bookcases, yay! It looks so, so beautiful, I love it so much!
Thank you!! I literally sit and stare at it sometimes. 🙂
Love the new bookcase. You staged it nicely too
I honestly spent hours rearranging all my bookcases to get them just the way I want them. If only I could be so determined when it comes to my writing. LOL!
Love the new bookshelves! Looks like some good books this week too. I”m also still watching Survivor and Amazing Race, although just the new seasons. Have a great week!
I honestly need to stop watching the old seasons. It’s just too easy for me to randomly turn it on in my free time and not get other things done. Too tempting!
The bookcases look beautiful! I am longing for the day where I can find my own place so I can buy more bookcases for all my books! Starting to get a little sad on the search but I continue to hope for the best!
Hope you have a great week ahead!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I hope you find the perfect place soon! Even with a whole house, I still want more space for bookcases. There’s no such thing as too many, right? LOL!
I love the bookshelves! I hope you’re having a great week.
Thank you!!
Great new bookcases. I’ll have to keep my eye out for The Mystery Locked Rooms.
The Mystery of Locked Rooms is releasing next April, but I couldn’t wait to read it!
Love the bookcase – it’s neat that there are two sections that don’t mirror their counterparts!
Thank you! I decided I liked the lack of symmetry.
Oh Nicole the bookcases look amazing! Locked Rooms sounds very good, I may have to pick that one up for Sam- he’s been reading a lot more lately which obviously thrills me, so I shall inundate him with all the books!
I hope he loves it! I loved when my kids were that age and they were reading a lot. Such a good excuse to buy lots of books!!
