The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
What’s been happening since my last Sunday Post:
Once again, I don’t have much “life” news that isn’t book news. Sorry!
Actually, my husband and I did get together with my best friend from high school and his wife. We hadn’t seen them for ten years before he came to my book launch party, so that was pretty cool. We had a lot of catching up to do!
Oh, and my birthday’s on Tuesday, so that’s one more thing!
World Read-Aloud Day and School Visits – I participated in my first WRAD, giving six virtual presentations. And then the next day, I did my first post-publication school visit and did eight in-person sessions. They went amazingly – these kids were so incredibly engaged, and they asked the best questions. I truly love school visits – I would do them all the time if I could!
What I Read:
- I listened to Small Spaces by Katherine Arden. I’ve been meaning to read this book for years. So glad I finally jumped in!
- And I read Youth Group by Jordan Morris, illustrated by Bowen McCurdy, a fun graphic novel very much in the vein of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Happy Birthday! Congrats on your school presentations. That’s awesome.
I love Middle Grade horror/ghost stories! They’re just about at my tolerance level for creepiness lol. I’ve put Small Spaces on my Goodreads “Want to Read” list!
That’s fun that you had a little reunion. Hopefully it won’t be another decade until you see your friends again.
