Last week on FYFA (and in my life):
We spent the day at Six Flags Great America yesterday – first day it opened this season! I love roller coasters, so Six Flags is a perfect fun family day, as far as I’m concerned. Other than that we’ve had a pretty calm week around here (though I’ve been doing A LOT of editing). Next week, my husband is gone at a conference in Vegas and the following week I’ll be headed to Dallas for RT. Stuff Mother’s Day and my daughter’s birthday in there and you have a couple of really busy weeks coming up!
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Purchased:
I actually bought Will Grayson for my OTSP Secret Sister, but I was trying to get her the cute NEW paperback and Amazon sent me the old one (not the one in the picture) – twice! I finally gave up and decided I’d just keep this one for myself and keep an eye out for the new one for her. I’ve been meaning to read it anyway!

Oh I want to read Hello, I Love You – can’t wait to see what you think. I loved Will Grayson, Will Grayson! Can’t wait to see your dissuasion this week on your site redesign – Have a great week!
Yes, there’s something about Hello, I Love You that looks so different and fun! I’m definitely looking forward to reading that one! And I’ve heard so many amazing things about Will Grayson – It’s about time I got it!
Ah Six Flags! I used to love going on roller coasters but it seems like the older I get, the appeal vanishes LOL
I can’t wait to see your post about re-design. I have done redesign several times! haha Have a good week lady!
Sometimes my stomach doesn’t love roller coasters as much as it used to, but I’m still a big fan!
Site redesign ideas for next week? I keep meaning to say that I really like your site design. It’s easy to read and you use fun colors that aren’t overwhelming. I’ll be interested to see what questions you have for us, since I recently did a site/host redesign and am still tweeking.
Here’s my post, and I also have a giveaway right now.
Have a good week!
I’m looking forward to the site re-design discussion as well. I’ve been trying to figure out I should invest in a professional design.

Yep, that’s going to be one of the topics – should I hire someone for a full re-design? Always the age-old blogger question.
Thanks so much! I’ve been torn because I actually get a lot of positive feedback on my blog design – but at the same time I’ve been feeling that pull to change it. I can’t decide!
Congratulations! And enjoy your reads this week. 🙂
Thanks so much!
I used to love Six Flags! I haven’t been to Great America since my senior year in high school. That was our ‘senior trip’, the entire senior class got to go to Great America for the day. There hasn’t been a Six Flags anywhere near me since then. *laughs* I hope you had lots of fun!
I love the cover of Daughter Of Deep Silence, can’t wait to see what you think of the book itself.
We did have a fantastic day. The weather was PERFECT!
Congrats on the books and glad you had a nice day with the family!
Thanks so much!
You’re going to redesign your site?I am anxious to see that post now:)
And truth to be told,it feels weird for me to be reminded that you are a much more older person!I often forget that:)
Happy advanced Mother’s Day Nicole!
I don’t know, Mishma – I keep going back and forth about it. I guess I shouldn’t expect to be any more decisive on that than anything else! LOL!
Yay for the win! I swear winning a book definitely makes the week better! LOL! Hope you enjoy all your new reads!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
So very true! Especially a book that you’ve been excited about!
Oh roller coasters! Uh uh not for me, but glad you enjoy them! Hm must look in on your blog discussion for redesign as I love what you have!
Not a fan of roller coasters, huh? I can definitely understand – but I love them!
I’m off to read your post about affiliate links. I started using them a couple of months ago but have been too lazy to go back and add them to old posts. I’m yet to check if I’ve made any money off them but very much doubt it. A few people tell me they’ve bought books I’ve reviewed but I don’t push the affiliate thing (or guilt them into using it!) so it’s unlikely I’ll made much money from it anytime soon!
Deb
wow, sounds like you have some fun things coming up! After the first few days this week (finishing my semester, etc.) things will be a bit better- I’ll have my own fun things to do. hah
Ooooh site redesign? I am intrigued! I love a good redesign every so often, though I DO love yours as it is…. such a dilemma! Six Flags sounds SO amazing, I am a bit jealous 😉 Also jealous of Tonight the Streets are Ours! I tried to win that thing so badly, and I somehow won a mixed CD (it reminds me of the CDs I used to make from Napster hahahah- I am glad you are old enough to commiserate 😉 ) And Daughter of Deep Silence, I want it! I read an except and now I really want to read the whole book! Hope you enjoy the busy week and fun things to come 😀
Oh, I haven’t been to a theme park with roller coasters in years! I miss that. When I was a kid, we lived in the Detroit area and went to Cedar Point all the time. I knew that park like the back of my hand and I totally wanted to work there too 🙂
I think Hello I love you looks excellent!
I hope you have a fantastic week 🙂 Happy Reading!
