Sunday Post & Giveaways Galore – 5/3/15

Posted May 3, 2015 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 27 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

Last week on FYFA (and in my life):

We spent the day at Six Flags Great America yesterday – first day it opened this season! I love roller coasters, so Six Flags is a perfect fun family day, as far as I’m concerned. Other than that we’ve had a pretty calm week around here (though I’ve been doing A LOT of editing). Next week, my husband is gone at a conference in Vegas and the following week I’ll be headed to Dallas for RT. Stuff Mother’s Day and my daughter’s birthday in there and you have a couple of really  busy weeks coming up!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Next week on FYFA:

  • Ash and Ruin Series by Shauna Granger (review &  giveaway)
  • A Matter of Heart by Amy Fellner Dominy  (review & giveaway)
  • Tagapalooza – To All the Tags I’ve Skipped Before (a mash-up of a bunch of different tags because I’m horrible about posting these!)
  • Let’s Discuss – Site Redesign: I Need Your Advice!

Thanks Kara @ Great Imaginations and Macmillan!

For Review:

Daughter of Deep SilenceHello I Love You

I actually bought Will Grayson for my OTSP Secret Sister, but I was trying to get her the cute NEW paperback and Amazon sent me the old one (not the one in the picture) – twice! I finally gave up and decided I’d just keep this one for myself and keep an eye out for the new one for her. I’ve been meaning to read it anyway!

    • Yes, there’s something about Hello, I Love You that looks so different and fun! I’m definitely looking forward to reading that one! And I’ve heard so many amazing things about Will Grayson – It’s about time I got it!

  1. Ah Six Flags! I used to love going on roller coasters but it seems like the older I get, the appeal vanishes LOL

I can’t wait to see your post about re-design. I have done redesign several times! haha Have a good week lady!

  2. I used to love Six Flags! I haven’t been to Great America since my senior year in high school. That was our ‘senior trip’, the entire senior class got to go to Great America for the day. There hasn’t been a Six Flags anywhere near me since then. *laughs* I hope you had lots of fun!

I love the cover of Daughter Of Deep Silence, can’t wait to see what you think of the book itself.

    • I don’t know, Mishma – I keep going back and forth about it. I guess I shouldn’t expect to be any more decisive on that than anything else! LOL!

  3. I’m off to read your post about affiliate links. I started using them a couple of months ago but have been too lazy to go back and add them to old posts. I’m yet to check if I’ve made any money off them but very much doubt it. A few people tell me they’ve bought books I’ve reviewed but I don’t push the affiliate thing (or guilt them into using it!) so it’s unlikely I’ll made much money from it anytime soon!

  4. Ooooh site redesign? I am intrigued! I love a good redesign every so often, though I DO love yours as it is…. such a dilemma! Six Flags sounds SO amazing, I am a bit jealous 😉 Also jealous of Tonight the Streets are Ours! I tried to win that thing so badly, and I somehow won a mixed CD (it reminds me of the CDs I used to make from Napster hahahah- I am glad you are old enough to commiserate 😉 ) And Daughter of Deep Silence, I want it! I read an except and now I really want to read the whole book! Hope you enjoy the busy week and fun things to come 😀

  5. Oh, I haven’t been to a theme park with roller coasters in years! I miss that. When I was a kid, we lived in the Detroit area and went to Cedar Point all the time. I knew that park like the back of my hand and I totally wanted to work there too 🙂
