Last week on FYFA (and in my life):
So, yesterday we just had our end of year performance for my acting class at our homeschool co-op. I love teaching the class, but I have to confess that it feels like a bit of relief after the performance is finished. We’ll still be doing plenty of school around here, but all of the classes I’ve been teaching at co-op are over!

Congrats on finishing the acting class! I hope you enjoy your new book.
Thanks! I had great fun with the class, but it’s nice to be done with the stress of performance day!
Nicole, thanks for sharing Jolene’s guest post!
You’re very welcome. It was fun!
Glad your classes are over! I hope this means you’ll have a little extra time on your hands. Have a great week!
I’m hoping so too, although we always have to catch up on some things after co-op is done. 🙂
Oh nice! Been seeing this one around a lot lately! Hope you enjoy it too!!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I’m looking forward to it!
Have fun with the extra time now that classes are over. Maybe read that fabulous new book!
That’s definitely part of the plan! 🙂
I missed your post last week, so I just read it now lol. Glad you liked the Beauty and the Beast movie! And oh an acting class, that sounds fun! Did you used to act or something? I took a week or two-long summer camp acting class thing once as a teen, but I would have no idea how to teach that!
I was a theater major in college, though I haven’t done any acting in quite awhile now. It’s fun to dip my toes back in with my homeschool co-op classes!
I can’t wait for Royal Bastards as well! Yay, for a physical ARC (I only have an e-copy). Looking forward to reading your thoughts on this book.
Have a great week!
I was excited when they contacted me about that one because it sounds perfect for me.
I’m curious to see your review for Royal Bastards. I’m glad the performance for your acting class is over -and that all co-op classes you teach are over. Hopefully that alleviates some stress!
-Lauren
Yes, it will be nice to have a little bit more free time. Of course, it always seems like that sometimes gets eaten up, but we shall see!
Yay for Royal Bastards! I hope it’s good. 🙂 And I’m thinking of trying the Pajonas book, her stuff looks fun.
Hope you have a supr week Nicole!
It was you who talked about it, right? I’m not crazy? I hope you enjoy Pajonas’s book—I think it’s a shame it hasn’t gotten more attention.
Yay for finishing the co-op class! I will look up Royal Bastards now you have me curious.
It’s nice to have a little extra breathing room. 🙂
Oooh, so many give aways!
I know that feeling of loving teaching a course, and at the same time being relieved when it’s successfully wrapped up! 🙂
Yep—it’s an interesting dichotomy!
Royal Bastards sounds interesting. Hope you enjoy it! I’m also curious about the new Elizabeth Eulberg book. I’ve enjoyed her books in the past.
Hope you have a great week! Thanks for visiting my blog 🙂
My review for Just Another Girl will either go up tomorrow or Wednesday (depending on what the TTT topic is this week and whether or not I decide to post one).
Awesome that you finished teaching your acting class. I can imagine you feel a little relieved. I hope you get to read some more now! 😀
Have a great week and happy reading!
I love the class, but there’s definitely a little relief when we’re done with the stress of performance day!
Yay for finishing up your class!!
I’ve been out of the loop on new and upcoming releases lately so I’ll have to check out what Royal Bastards is about, I love the tagline!
I hope you have an awesome week!
Royal Bastards seems like the type of book I’d love so I’m excited to read it!
I think there is always a bit of relief that comes after working on a project (in your case a class), no matter how much we enjoyed the process. I bet the performance was wonderful. 🙂 Royal Bastards looks like a good one! I hope you enjoy it. I hope you have a great week, Nicole! (Your blog is so much fun!)
The performance did turn out great. I was really proud of them!
Such a comprehensive, fantastic post! Thanks so much for sharing 😀 And I hope you enjoy Royal Bastards 🙂
Brittany @ Brittany’s Book Rambles
Glad that you find these helpful!
I finally have a contact at Disney, so I had to email and request Royal Bastards. 🙂 It sounds so good!
Hope you get it (and love it!).
Royal Bastards looks so good! Greg has definitely made it sound tempting and I hope you enjoy it. You’ve shared so many giveaways and great things I don’t even know where to start! Have a great week!
Greg has great book taste, so I’m guessing I’ll love it!
Glad to hear the coop classes are over and now you can relax! Loved your review of The Inexplicable Logic of My Life. Spot on. For me the prose and characters made it a 8-start book minus three stars for the things you mentioned. 5-stars review 🙂 It’s awesome you got the Royal Bastards! Can’t wait for your review! 🙂
The show went really well, so now I have a bit more downtime—sort of. Though it doesn’t feel like it somehow. How does that work?
Hooray for being done with classes (the ones you teach, anyway)! That has to be a lot off your plate. I loved your April 1 post, Nicole. So funny. 🙂 I’ll have to check out Royal Bastards… this is the first I’ve seen/heard of it. Thanks so much for sharing my blogoversary giveaway! Hope you’re having a great week!
The performance went really well and it’s definitely nice to have it off my plate now. 🙂
Thank you for mentioning Summer Haikus!! I super appreciate it and hope some of your readers take me up on the free offer. Sounds like it was a good week to wrap things up! I always feel a huge amount of relief when I finish up a big project. I get so anxious about it and getting it done. I bet it’s nice to have that co-op part done with! 🙂
I’m happy to help spread the word about Summer Haikus—I really hope some of my friends will check it out because it definitely deserves more attention!
Oops. Only a week behind at commenting back! Thanks for visiting my blog though! I’ll do better this week. 😉
Greg’s great at getting books into our TBR piles and I have a couple from him that I need to check out!
I CANNOT BELIEVE ABOUT BUFFY… I’m going to check that post out IMMEDIATELY!
Hope you had a great week again this week and I’ll try to catch up with you when you post. 🙂
Oh, trust me, I understand how that goes. I feel like lately I’m perpetually a week behind. Yikes!
