Sunday Post & Giveaways Galore – 5/14/17

Posted May 14, 2017 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 36 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

Last week on FYFA (and in my life):

First of all,  happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there! I hope you get pampered today. Today is my daughter’s 13th birthday, so I’ve got another teenager in the house. Yikes! If I disappear, you can just assume I didn’t survive it.

I finished the first edit of the book I was working on and got it back to the author, so I’ll be back around the blogosphere a bit more this week!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog last week:

Next week on FYFA:

  • Special Hunger Games giveaway!
  • The Best Kind of Magic by Crystal Cestari – Review & Giveaway
  • The Truth About Happily Ever After by Karole Cozzo – Review & Giveaway
  • Let’s Discuss: Something bookish! 🙂

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

A couple of birthdays and blogoversaries this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, you can always fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book-Haul

Scholastic Warehouse Sale:

I volunteered at our local Scholastic Warehouse sale and earned free books! Yep, that’s right, I got all of these books for me and my kiddos for free for volunteering. I’d say that’s a pretty sweet deal. My kids picked out a lot of these, but I’m definitely excited about several of them, especially The Girl Who Drank the Moon, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Between Shades of Gray and The Scorpio Races.

Book Outlet Sale:

I also recently bought some books from the latest Book Outlet Sale. I bought all of these, plus a complete set of Goddess Girls books for my daughter for her birthday.

Won:

I won Arena and Gauntlet from the blog tour, which I found on It Starts at Midnight. Thanks so much to Ace Books!

For Review:

Star-Crossed looks like an adorable MG book and I’m excited to read The Best Kind of Magic (which takes place in my hometown—sort of—of Chicago). Watch for my reviews during the tours, which will be coming in a couple of weeks! Technically, I got Keeping Kinley because I voted for it on Kindle Scout, but I’m considering it a review book since I’ve reviewed the others in the series.

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

Pre-Order Deals:

I’m now putting these in order of release date to make it easier on myself (and you, I think). Any new deals that I just added to the list this week will be denoted with a *** so you can easily find them!

Happy Birthday to your daughter and here’s hoping you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Wow, that’s amazing you got all of those books for volunteering! And I’ve never looked at Book Outlet. I will now, thanks for the heads up Nicole!

  9. Another hormonal teenager is the house… good luck with that. LOL Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day, Nicole. I see that you bought a couple of the books from the Arcana Chronicles. I own the series and have been meaning to start it for ages. I’m a sucker for a good paranormal series so I don’t know why I keep putting it off.
