This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
Not much new to tell you this week. I’m steadily working on an editing project, which means I haven’t had much time to work on editing my own book. Hoping to get to it some this week, since we have some time off of school, but we shall see!
Other than that, it was just… a week. A busy one, but just normal busy. My One Year Adventure Novel class is off to a fun start. The kids have some great synopses, so I’m excited about what the year will bring!
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Thanks, Jessica!
Nice that your One Year adventure Novel class is off to a good start. Such a neat idea!
Have a great Labor Day!
Thanks, Greg!
Good luck on your editing project! I’m so glad your One Year Adventure Novel class is going well. Such a great and fun opportunity for you and the kids!
I think it’s going to be great fun!
You teach a year long adventure novel class? So cool. Good luck with the editing; just finished an editing project myself, so I know how it can cut in to writing and editing time on your own projects.
Yes, the class is really fun—It’s mostly a DVD curriculum that I’m facilitating, but I’m really enjoying it.
Good luck with your editing project. I always love your pre order deals. I hope you have a wonderful week. Happy reading. ?❤️
Glad you enjoy the deals!
I hope your editing project is going well. Thanks for giving my giveaway a shout out. It ends today.
No problem!
I signed up to do a beta read for a company, so I turned in my first one last week. Haven’t heard back yet if I did an okay job yet or not. Fingers crossed I did okay so I can get into editing as well! Hope you get your editing job done so you can work on your own project.
Have a great week!
Good luck with the beta reading! I hope it goes well!
I’m so glad you mentioned your novel writing class. I was so intrigued by the concept when you mentioned it last week. I hope you’ll update us periodically on how it’s going. 🙂
Hope you have a great week, Nicole!
I’ll definitely give updates now and again!
Sometimes “just a week” is good. Means nothing bad or crazy happened 🙂 Good luck with the editing project!
Exactly!
That’s great your students are loving the class. That is a great way for them to express their creativity. I hope you have a great week!
Thanks! It’s been a fun class!
Glad editing is going well – hope you can work on your own editing soon!! Thanks so much for sharing about my giveaway. 🙂

Yes, it’s hard to make editing my own book a priority, but I have to. I have done a bit since I wrote this post, but I definitely need to do more. I plan to work on it this weekend.
I think it is probably really helpful that you edit for other people. When it come to working on your own book you must have a really great idea of what works and what probably won’t. Sorry you didn’t have much time this week for that.
All of those pre-orders look good, but I have found that pre-orders just sit on my shelf and not get read. I don’t want to do that to any more books.
Have a great week!
I always hope that it will work that way, but it’s much harder to have perspective when it’s your own book.
Oh those share links, I always end up bloating my 50 already open tabs even more 😀 thanks for sharing!! Have a great reading week 🙂
Glad I’m not the only one who keeps a million tabs open at once!
Have SO much fun in your writing class! Is it truly a one year class?
It’s one school year—32 weeks.
