Sunday Post & Giveaways Galore – 2/25/18

Posted February 25, 2018 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 36 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

I took a little bit of a breather this week, at least from posting. I had a lot of comments and discussion posts, etc. to catch up with after I got my editing done, and I decided to spend my free time doing that this week instead of writing more posts. (I’m still not even 100% caught up.) I still haven’t heard about that writing workshop. They apparently received a lot of applications, and they’re still going through them. 🙁  We shall see!

Yesterday, my mom and I attended Anderson’s Children’s Literature Breakfast. It was a great event—watch for a recap later this week (or possibly next week, since I have month-end posts going up this week).

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Next week on FYFA:

  • Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff: Review & Giveaway
  • February Wrap-Up Round-Up Link-Up
  • February Recap
  • March Discussion Challenge Link-Up and Giveaway
  • (Possibly my recap of the Anderson’s Children’s Lit Breakfast, but that will probably wait a week.)

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, you can always fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book-Haul

For Review:

I received Picture Us in the Light from Disney-Hyperion, and Obsidio from Knopf Books for Young Readers! Woo hoo!

Won:

I won Scythe and Thunderhead (and this fun watch) from It Starts at Midnight and Simon & Schuster! (Yep, this is my 6th win of 2018.)

Purchased:

I got books from Anderson’s Children’s Lit Breakfast (one that was free and several I bought), but I’m going to post those pics in my recap post.

  1. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and that workshop. They would be daft not to select you. OMG! You are truly one of the chosen ones to have received a copy of Obsidio. I had gotten the other two at BEA, it was a yearly thing, and this was such a long wait. But the wait is almost over. AND you won another giveaway. I need your mojo. Enjoy all your new books.

  2. Oh wow! All these Obsidio copies are killing me!! Especially since I did reach out to the publisher earlier this year inquiring about a blog tour or even just a review copy. Oh well. I am the midst of series catchup anyway and they’re looong books! Nearly 500 pages each! Still cannot wait to read ti thought! Some of the comments I am hearing from some of the bloggers who got it are making me anxious! I might just be avoiding all reviews and whatnot until I’ve read it myself! Lol!! Though I am SUPER excited to meet the two of them in March!!! They’re coming to my city this time around so I am stoked for such a short drive! Lol!! Are you planning to see them at Andersons as well?

    Happy Reading girlie!

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. I’ so excited that Obsidio is almost here. Looking forward to it a LOT, although I’ll be sad to see that series end. Can’t wait to see what you think! That breakfast event sounds like a lot of fun.

Wendy’s tweet was amazing, and so was the response (except for the trolls of course).

  4. I’m glad you and your mom had fun at the breakfast. Good luck with getting accepted to the workshop. I’m so envious that you got Obsidio. I’m looking forward to reading that one.

Also, if you want to continue your giveaway winning streak, I’m going to have a giveaway on my blog soon. If everything goes according to plan, it should start on 3/1 and end on 4/2. It’s for a book of your choice from Book Depository.

  5. It think is awesome that you and your mom attend bookish events together! Hope you are not getting stressed trying to catch up. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with everything related to blogging! Finger cross about that writing workshop!
