Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Campaigns & Giveaways Galore – 1/12/20

Posted January 12, 2020 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 27 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

Nothing too exciting to report this week. My two younger kids are back at school (so gymnastics meets and basketball games are underway again—luckily I enjoy watching them!). My oldest doesn’t start community college again until the 22nd!

I actually managed to get a fair amount of blogging done lately—believe it or not, I actually have three posts scheduled to go up next week. That’s unusual for me! (But I don’t expect it to last.) I’m also working on my writing more—I’m posting writing goals tomorrow, so I need to be good about sticking with them!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries for this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, it’s easy! Just fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book Haul:

NetGalley/Digital Copies:

I already read and reviewed Cub by Cindy Copeland. I loved it, so check out my review to find out more! Thanks, Algonquin Young Readers!

I couldn’t resist requesting Don’t Read the Comments because author Eric Smith is seriously one of the best things on Twitter. This cover was illustrated by Mary Luna.

And then I also picked up Eva Evergreen, Semi-Magical Witch. Julie Abe was an AMM mentor, and I’ve had my eye on this book ever since I tried to get in. (I was unsuccessful, but that’s okay because I landed my agent soon afterward.) The adorable cover was illustrated by Shan Jiang.

And finally, I got a digital copy of my friend Kim Oclon’s debut, Man Up, which is releasing in April. This is an LGBT story about a high school senior who struggles with coming out in a school sports environment. Kim is the co-leader of my local SCBWI group, and I’m so excited for her book to be released! (I had to use a pic from her Twitter of the ARCs—Trism Books is a small publishing company, and they haven’t updated the Goodreads entry yet.) The cover was illustrated by Erica Weisz.
BLOGGER FRIENDS: If you’re interested in a copy of this book for review, please let me know. I’d love to help Kim spread the word about her debut!

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

Also, a reminder that I’m not doing my list of ALL the reading and blogging challenges I can find this year.  Here are two other bloggers who’ve created very similar lists:

Pre-order Campaigns

Listed in order of release date. Any new deals that I just added to the list this week will be denoted with a *** so you can easily find them!

Please note: Almost all pre-order giveaways run “while supplies last,” so they might not be open until the date listed. Pre-0rder early for your best chance to get all the goodies!

Awesome Giveaways:

Twitter Giveaways:

Lots of good stuff! Have any giveaways or great discussions happening on your site right now? Feel free to share them in the comments!

  3. Good luck with the writing! I need to get back to my own this year too. But it’s been hard to balance the stress of finding a job and that never ending nagging worry about it and writing. But hopefully this year I’ll nip that in the bud!

  4. I am glad you have gotten a little ahead with your blogging for this next week. I have a couple posts ready to go, but I really want to try to get farther ahead. I have some blogging time carved out tomorrow morning, so hopefully I can make some progress then. I hope you enjoy all of your new books! Don’t Read the Comments sounds like something I might like as well. 🙂 Have a great week!

I’m excited to see your writing goals. I have so much I need to read this month, but starting in February, I really want to figure out some sort of writing routine (for my manuscript) and when it comes to blogging, I need to schedule ahead as much as I can.
