Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Campaigns & Giveaways Galore – 6/28/20

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

I’m putting this post up VERY late this week. I mean, it’s still technically Sunday, but barely?

Here’s what else we’ve been up to this week:

  • We watched:
    • My daughter Danielle and I finished watching On My Block. The ending to season three was an interesting cliffhanger and now we can’t believe we have to wait for the next season! (Danielle mentioned that she’s much better at bingeing shows and she hopes she doesn’t just forget about it by the time next season rolls around.)
    • My husband, daughter and I watched the rest of the existing episodes of Atypical. Next season is the final season for that one!
    • Then I convinced Danielle to watch The 100 with me. (Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight would be so proud.). We’re still in season 1, so we have a long way to go!
  • As far as my reading goes…
    • I finally finished an audiobook (More to the Story by Hena Khan). Woo hoo!!
    • I tried hard to read again this week, and I did make some progress on Deeplight by Frances Hardinge (I’m now over 200 pages in), but I’m so suffering from puppy exhaustion that I kept falling asleep when I tried to read, despite really loving the book. Luckily, it now seems like we might be sleeping a bit more, so maybe I might actually finish the book?
  • Puppy! Like I said above, I’m getting a tiny bit more sleep—last night I put the pup in his crate in the hallway and actually slept in my own bed—until 6 AM! Woo hoo!! (We have to celebrate the small victories.) Don’t let this adorable face fool you—this little dude can be vicious when he wants to be. You should see the cuts up and down my arms (and on my face!!) from those sharp little teeth.

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Once again, only one post.

Your puppy reminds me of Luana when we got her. She was only a few months old, I think, and man, she was a crazy puppy. She’d bite your ankle and you’d just be walking around the house with her attached to you. Now I have my cat Charlie and he likes to play with his nails AND teeth sometimes, so fun stuff right there. Good thing they are so cute!

  2. I definitely won’t be deceived by that cute pup. My dog just looks too adorable but he always gives me scratches right on my leg. Still love him though!

  3. Oh, I hate it when a season ends on a cliffhanger! The 100 is fun. I need to get back to watching it someday.

That puppy is too cute to be viscous,, lol! He’ll learn. It’s a good thing he’s cute, right?
