The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
- Special Olympics State Winter Games. My son Noah had the state competition for Special Olympics snowshoeing for three days this week, and he won both of his events: the 50m and the 100m. As you can imagine, he was pretty thrilled! Here’s a video of his final race for the 100m.
- What I Read
- I finished reading Inkling by Kenneth Oppel and The Art of Running Away by Sabrina Kleckner. Then I started reading Kingdom of Secrets by Christyne Morrell.
- I finished listening to Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer and then started listening to The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Gemeinhart.
- What I Watched:
- Danielle and I are still watching season 3 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
- I finished watching season 31 of The Amazing Race.
- My mom and I watched season 1 of Wheel of Time. I’m loving reliving this series in TV form! It’s been several years since I read and/or listened to the books, but I think the show seems pretty true to the spirit of the original (if not the details), and I love remembering elements of the story as I watch.

Go Noah! I love snowshoeing. I’ve never tried racing, but it’s a fun way to explore the mountains in winter.
I can’t imagine running in them. Seems crazy!
How awesome! Go Noah!!!!!
Thanks! He was super proud!
Congratulations, Noah! Are they running in snowshoes? Noah had quite a lead too. Ooh! I hope you love Coyote. She owned my heart. I hope you have a wonderful birthday week!
Yes, I think it’s quite impressive that they can run in those snowshoes!
I’m loving all the Olympics – that is exciting! I hope you have a great birthday and get to relax a bit for yourself.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Yes, it’s been fun to watch the real Winter Olympics after his state Special Olympics meet!
You have a champion in the house 😃.
Happy birthday in advance! 🎉🎈
Happy birthday everyone!
Congrats to Noah! That’s so awesome!
I got a few books this week, though not nearly as many as I anticipated. My poor book order is being kept in Kansas City for the past couple of days now. I’m have tempted to just drive there and pick them up myself. Lol. If I ever thought I could actually GET my books this way, I would so totally do it!
Hope you have a GREAT week ahead!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
The Wheel of Time sounds like something I’d like. I’ll have to check it out. Can’t believe you find time to read so much and watch TV too. It’s great that you watch TV with your family so much. Happy Blog Anniversary!
The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise sounds great!
And congrats to Noah!!
I forgot to share my own post: https://wordsandpeace.com/2022/02/06/sunday-post-52-2-6-2022/
[…] He was incredibly excited and we were so impressed that he could run in snowshoes! (You can see a video in my last Sunday Post.) He also had several basketball games in […]
I don’t have regular tv anymore so I haven’t watched any of the olympics.
Oh my goodness your son was so fast, he did AMAZING! That’s so talented to be able to run in snowshoes, that must have been so hard! And I still haven’t ever watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer but it looks amazing and I so want to someday ♥.
How cool for your son! Congratulations!
ooh, so you’re almost ready for the latest season of The Amazing Race then! It’s been interesting to see it the first few episodes and then the pandemic shut it down, and now they’re back and seeing the differences in how things work is so weird! Loved the video, great job by your son! Have a great week!
