Let’s Discuss – Online Identity: Who are You Online?

Let’s Discuss – Online Identity: Who are You Online?

Lauren over at Shooting Star Mag asked me recently to help her spread the word about the recently released movie, Ask Me Anything. The movie was written and directed by Allison Burnett, who wrote the novel it was based on, Undiscovered Gyrl. Now, I have to say that I haven’t read the book or seen the movie, so I can’t really say much about either, except to say that I’m intrigued (and I love Britt Robertson), so I’ll […]

ARC Review – The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black

ARC Review – The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black

This was my first Holly Black book, and I’m starting to see what all the fuss is about. Black has an amazing ability to create a fantastical world and tie it into our own – I loved how the fae world collided with the “real” world in this book! What I LOVED: The small town feel mixed with magic. I loved how Black managed to take this realistic-feeling small town and turn it into something extraordinary. Fairfold […]

Top Six Resolutions for 2015

Top Six Resolutions for 2015

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is about our New Year’s Resolutions. I don’t really make resolutions because I know I don’t stick to them. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a disorganized blogger (and a disorganized person) and plans and lists don’t really work for me. Still, there are some things that I definitely want to do this year, so I’m going to go ahead and list them out. We shall see! These are a mix of […]

Review – Unhinged by A.G. Howard

Review – Unhinged by A.G. Howard

This second book in the Splintered Trilogy once again proved how incredibly imaginative Howard is. I just love her twisted take on Wonderland and the creatures in it! What I enjoyed: Wonderland creatures. As in Splintered, the best things about this book are all the nods to Wonderland. While Alyssa never actually makes it to Wonderland in this book (see my negatives below), Wonderland does come to her. Of course, you can tell from the cover that Morpheus […]

Let’s Discuss – What Bookish Things Did Santa Bring? (Plus the Oh Christmas Tag)

Let’s Discuss – What Bookish Things Did Santa Bring? (Plus the Oh Christmas Tag)

I was thrilled this year to get a beautiful bookcase for Christmas!! The bookcases in our house are all completely full – overflowing, really – and so I was super excited to get a new bookcase to put in our bedroom. My new bookcase is oh, so pretty and perfect in every way except one – it still doesn’t hold all of my books!! (The picture above doesn’t show all of my random books that were sitting […]
