Let’s Discuss – Vacationing in Colorado!

Let’s Discuss – Vacationing in Colorado!

Okay, let’s face it, this isn’t much of a discussion, but since I’ve just spent a whole month in Colorado, I figure I should share some of the highlights, right? We rented a cabin (well, a house really, but a cabinish house) in the mountains, and my husband took off half the time we were there and worked from “home” the other half. As you know from my post about vacationing and disorganized blogging, I also worked […]

Anya and the Shy Guy by Suze Winegardner – Review & Winegardner’s Top Ten Addictions

Anya and the Shy Guy by Suze Winegardner – Review & Winegardner’s Top Ten Addictions

Anya and the Shy Guy is the fourth installment in the Backstage Pass series, which chronicles the love lives of the members of Seconds to Juliet, a superstar boy band. I haven’t read the first three books in the series (those of you who know me well are gasping right now – I never read series out of order), but this book really did stand well on its own as a standalone – and now […]

Jesse’s Girl by Miranda Kenneally – Review & $50 Giveaway

Jesse’s Girl by Miranda Kenneally – Review & $50 Giveaway

Jesse’s Girl is the sixth standalone book in the Hundred Oaks series (and I have to say that, even by my standards, these books truly can be read as standalones). It’s a really fun romantic read with a dash of bad boy superstar behavior to keep us entertained (but not too much – Jesse’s not a jerk). Overall, a really entertaining read, just like all of Kenneally’s books! This book focuses on Maya (who is […]

The Six by Mark Alpert – Review

The Six by Mark Alpert – Review

The Six is an interesting and exciting twist on the typical “teenagers save the world” theme – in this case, the teenagers are no longer teenagers, they’re machines. The book takes a look at real life artificial intelligence and where it could lead. What would happen if an AI decided to destroy us? What would we need to do to fight back? In this book, Adam and five other terminally ill teenagers agree to give […]

The Scorch Trials by James Dashner – Review

***NOTE: This review is for the second book in a series and may contain spoilers for the first book. Click the link to see my review of The Maze Runner.*** Awhile back, I reviewed The Maze Runner, but I hadn’t gotten to reading The Scorch Trials half of the collector’s edition because my son hid the book away from me so I couldn’t steal it from him (literally – he adored both books – if […]

Why Disorganized Blogging and Vacations Don’t Mix (But I Smushed Them Together Anyway)

Why Disorganized Blogging and Vacations Don’t Mix (But I Smushed Them Together Anyway)

So, you’re going on vacation. A fairly long vacation. No problem, right? You just tell the blogosphere that you’re heading out, pre-write and schedule a few posts here and there, and take a little time off from blogging. We all deserve a break, right? That would work great – except, as I’ve told you before, I’m a disorganized blogger. So, do I follow my fantastic advice? Um, no. I did schedule two Top Ten Tuesday […]
