Last week on FYFA (and in my life):
This week was a little more manageable than last, which I’m taking as a good sign. Surely this means that we’re on the road to a non-insane schedule, right? My kids are loving swim team, even though it’s crazily tough—I’m really impressed with them since they’ve never done anything even remotely close to the type of workouts they’re doing now in their swim classes.
I’ve been making good progress on my editing job as well and the classes I teach have been fun. The blogging class has been more difficult than I imagined since all of the kids are doing different types of blogs and none of them (sadly, at least to me) are doing a book blog. I’m finding that some of my knowledge doesn’t transfer easily to all types of blogging. Still, I think it’s going to be a success—it just means I have to do a bit more planning.
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Glad your week was more manageable. Teaching a blogging class sounds fun. I can see why it might be different to help all different types but I think you will do amazing. Sad no one wants a book blog. 🙁
Happy Birthday to your mom, I hope she has a great day!
Have a great week, Nicole! Happy Reading! ox
Thanks for the happy birthday Michelle!
I’m glad your schedule is less crazy. It is sad that none of the kids wanted to make a book blog. 🙁
It’s great to hear that your week went by remarkably well and that you’re adjusting to the busyness of it all. Sucks that none of your students are book bloggers but I’m sure you a lot of those information are available on line. You can do it!
Have a great week, Nicole!
I really enjoyed The Trouble with Mistletoe. In fact I liked this one better than the first in the series. 🙂
No giveaways yet…
Hope you have a great week! ~Aleen
There are so many different types of people. Kind of sad to hear no one wanted to do a book blog in your class. Great haul by the way.
Grace @ Books of Love
Good news about a more manageable week!
Enjoy your classes…and your reading. I’ve been meaning to try Jill Shalvis.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Glad the week was more manageable. No book bloggers..that is sad, but I am sure you will inspire them all. Hope the week ahead is amazing. I have Jill’s book to read during HoHoHoRAT and cannot wait 🙂
Hey, thanks for including my link on your list.
It is sad that none of the kids are doing a book blog in your class, but its cool that they are all making a blog of their own. I bet you will get something out of this since you will be helping them all make their blogs better. I amd glad to hear this week has been better for you, have a great week!
Glad your week was a little easier.
A Tragic Kind of Wonderfull looks interesting, I quite liked Eric Lindstrom’s last book.
Glad your week was better! I think it’s awesome that you get to teach a class about blogs, and that all of them have picked up and run with it. I’m sure you’re going to learn a lot of new things!
A book blog class! How fun. And wow- nice review of three Dark Crowns. I want to read that one now, I initially wasn’t really interested but after seeing so many good reviews I may have to get these. Although yeah it can be tough waiting for the next book when the first one is so good! I’m tempted to see your spoiler post but I’ll resist somehow, since I’d rather be surprised… I guess. 🙂
Wow! Sounds like a busy week, but a good kind of busy! And GASP!! No one’s doing a book blog? I mean…what do people blog about besides books anyway? LOL!
Nice new reads too! Hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Glad your schedule is getting better and the kids are doing well in swim class. You will so figure out the blog class and I still think it is awesome you are teaching that! Yay for A Tragic Kind of Wonderful. I cannot wait until that comes out. Have a great week!!
Happy Birthday to your mom!!
I’m glad your week went a bit better this time and that things are starting to get into a schedule of sorts. Aw, I’m sorry nobody is doing a book blog! You could really help with that. I know I focus a lot on books, but I know a lot of other types of blogs so if you have questions or need help, let me know!
-Lauren
Thanks for the Happy Birthday Wish Lauren! 🙂
Gay
Thanks for including me. I really liked Alcatraz vs the Evil Librarians #1-2, but felt that it went downhill after that.
Teaching a class on blogging sounds like so much fun. I am always amazed at what you call a “manageable” week! You’re super woman!
Happy Birthday to your mom!! That’s sad that there aren’t any book bloggers. It seems like you can’t any bookworms anymore.
Jessica, Thanks fr wishing me a Happy Birthday! 🙂 Gay
None of them wanted to do a book blog? How can that be? What kinds of blogs are they interested in publishing? I’d love to hear more! Happy birthday to your mom! I hope you have an awesome week.
Thank you for the Happy Birthday wish! 🙂 Gay
Glad the crazy schedule is even slightly better! All the kids and not a single book blog? I think my heart just broke a little. 🙂 I feel like I’m seeing The Trouble with Mistletoe everywhere this week. I’ve never read anything by Shalvis but she seems hugely popular. I’m just not read for holiday-themed books quite yet. 🙂
Yay for your kiddos loving swim! And sending lots of determination your way, I’m sure you’re going to continue to do an amazing job teaching your blogging class. And a huge happy early birthday to your mom, I hope she has a wonderful time on her special day!
Thanks for the Happy Birthday Wish Jen! I had a very nice day. Gay
