This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
Not much new to tell you this week. I think I’m all out of interesting news for now. (If by some chance, you’ve been away and haven’t seen the exciting news I’ve been shouting about, check it out.) 🙂
I have been working on reorganizing my bookshelves now that I’ve gotten rid of a lot of homeschooling books. I’m working on gathering up all my MG books so they’ll be together (right now they’re all spread out and/or in my kids’ rooms). For now, I have them with my classics. Here’s where I’m at so far:

I should think you’ve had about all the good news anyone could handle for now?!
Good luck tracking down all your books. If your kids are anything like I was with borrowed books, their favourites will be very well hidden 😉
Ha! Yes, I don’t really need more (at the moment). 🙂
Thank you so much for featuring my giveaways! I definitely will be checking out several of these preorder giveaways as well!
I love your MG shelf! My oldest isn’t at that level yet but there’s so many of those books that I can’t wait for him to read. Yesterday we checked out Bad Guys from the library since one of his friends recommended it, we’ll see how we like that one.? Here’s wishing you have a wonderful week!
The shelf looks even better now–I’ll have to share another pic next week!
Always happy to share!
I’m loving your shelf!!
I have a few giveaways on the blog – more upcoming this week though!
I just added Revenge of Magic to my list. Let me know if there are any others I missed! 🙂
Congratulations on your big news!
Thank you!!
Very nice looking shelves!! Congrats again on your news!
Happy Reading this week!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Thank you! By the way, I added your t-shirt from your Sunday Post to my “Around the Blogosphere” section because it’s so hilarious!
Thanks for including the monthly FBT giveaway. Do you now, The Quivering Pen has a great book giveaway every Friday. It’s usually one book, but a couple of times a year, it’s a big box. I won it once, so I know it’s for real!!: http://davidabramsbooks.blogspot.com/2019/03/friday-freebie-1000-books-to-read.html
Thanks for letting me know!
How much good news do you need? You’re probably still floating ;-). I like your bookshelves.
For sure!!
The shelves are looking good. You know I was trying to read all the spines, right?
Ha! I plan to put up another pic or two. I’ll have to make sure to include a few close-ups for you. 🙂
I need time without my dogs to do some reorganizing and cleaning up of my bookshelves. I haven’t been reading as many middle school books since I’m now a high school librarian. But if I could get back into a middle school library, I’d read so many more. Have a great week! Although what could top the awesomeness of the week you just had? 🙂
Ha! Your dogs keep you from organizing? Mine are pretty okay with letting me go about my work, but when I cleaned out the closet that has their stuff in it they went crazy. I felt so guilty for tempting them with all their toys and their leashes and not doing anything with them but putting them away! 🙂
I am so happy for you! Good news indeed!
Now that my bookshelves are mostly organized again, I really need to focus on my closet. I don’t know why I keep putting it off. Good luck with your continued organization of your shelf.
I hope you have a great week!
I was on a big organization kick at the beginning of the year, so that definitely helped me.
My blog (Win Book Money) has loads of giveaways. Due to my own book addiction I love to enter giveaways myself to feed the beast. It gets a bit expensive after a while :-).
I look for mostly romance giveaways to share with others. Would love you to visit.
https://www.winbookmoney.com/
Nice! I’ll definitely come visit, and I’ll share with my followers too!
The bookshelves look great! I wish I had big enough shelves to put my books in one place. They’re spread out on a bunch of little shelves. Thanks for giving my giveaway a shout out. Have a good week!
My husband joked with me that I’ll have to get rid of a book to fit my own published book on a bookshelf. I just said we’ll have to get more bookshelves. LOL!
*swoooooooooon* Your shelves are so pretty! Maybe one day I’ll be able to get mine looking so lovely. 🙂
I’m sort of in love with them. I’ll just randomly go in and stare at them sometimes. 🙂 (They’re even prettier now–I’ll share another pic next week.)
The shelves are looking great! I was thinking I might have seen the Little House books on the bottom shelf but I can’t be sure. 🙂
You have good eyes! Those are the Little House books!
Once again, I’m so excited for you and your news of being agented. That’s so totally awesome and well-deserved. And your bookshelves are looking so pretty!
Thank you!
Cool bookshelf and great giveaways. 🙂
Thank you!
wow what a week!
You can say that again!
A lot of my books are in storage… I can’t wait to get our house stated so I can get them out once again!
Hope you manage to get reorganized soon!!
I think your bookshelves are looking great! I wish I could make mine rainbow, or more fun looking, but I don’t really have one set space for books. They are kind of all over. LOL

I was really excited when I realized I could make MORE rainbow shelves downstairs without messing with my rainbow bookshelf that I already have arranged upstairs (with the exception that I swapped out a few of the MG books). The shelf looks even prettier now that I’ve worked on it more—I’ll have to share another pic next week.
[…] Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction […]
I didn’t mean to put my comment as a reply above ?, that is thanks to my little dog Bentley hitting my hand again and again with his nose saying pet me mom lol. Whoops!
Ha! The pup was just trying to help!
I think we’re going to need a separate bookshelf for all of the MG books we’ve been getting, haha. Especially once they start reading them on their own! I doubt I will ever be organized again, haha. But at least they’re reading, right? Belated congratulations! You totally deserve all the happiness, and shouting from the rooftops is required. 😉
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-ear? ?
Yeah, I’m not even going to attempt to get all of “my” books out of my kids’ rooms at this point. But I did gather up quite a few more from various places, and my MG bookshelf looks great, if I do say so myself! (I’ll have to share another pic next week.)
Yes! I love seeing pictures of people’s shelves. It’s an addiction, I swear. 😉
Me too! This is definitely the appeal of Boostagram. Wish I was better at it.
Some people get SO creative!
Yes! I’m jealous! (And I also just realized that I wrote Boostagram, which is possibly like a Halloweeny version of Instagram? Who knows?)
How is homeschooling? My stepson wanted to start homeschooling this year because he had such a hard time in grade K. But we told him his ADHD medicines might make it all better (it has), and to give it another try.
I started homeschooling when my oldest was in fourth grade. She had a lot of difficulties with attention in school and also had a really tough time with social skills, and life was pretty miserable for us (all). I thought homeschooling was going to be really difficult and drive me crazy, but I actually loved it, and I found that it was a whole lot less stressful for us in the end. The following year, I started homeschooling my middle child as well (at her request). My youngest has still always attended public school (he has special needs that are beyond my abilities), and my middle daughter just went back to public school for freshman year, while my oldest takes all of her classes at the local community college now. So, we’ve done different things with each of our kids—they’re all individuals with their own needs. And I don’t think I’d change anything, actually! (Well, okay, maybe I wish I’d started the homeschooling earlier for my oldest. Live and learn.)
Ohhh that MG bookshelf is so colorful ! I love it !
that’s one genre I really should invest more in .. I still have the old way of thinking, “too old for this” ..
I’m “too old” for almost everything I read, so … oh well! 🙂
I keep wanting to get my shelves organized. It seems like all I do is add to it and never clean it up. It’s on my list to do tho.
Mary
Oh, I can relate to that. Even though I KEEP re-organizing, it still seems like I always have stacks of books somewhere. 🙂
I really love that you are sorting through your shelves and they are looking beautiful. I have a spring clean of my shelves on my schedule when university gives me time to do so. I am looking forward to it!
Spring cleaning really does feel good, doesn’t it?
