Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Campaigns & Giveaways Galore – 8/16/20

Posted August 16, 2020 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 24 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

  • We watched:
    • My daughter Danielle (and my son, Noah, who has joined us in watching) and I are now six episodes into season 7 of The 100! We’re catching up!
  • Packing and planning. My oldest leaves for college on Thursday! This Thursday. I can hardly believe it.
  • Painting. As I mentioned last week, we bought my younger daughter a new bed. It needed a paint refresh, so we repainted the whole thing and then added some blue accents. We also started prepping for painting Jade’s room. Oh, and we bought a new (used) bed for Noah, who will be moving into Danielle’s old room.
  • Reading
    • I read The Black Kids (see my review, which was posted yesterday).
    • I also finished listening to Divided We Fall by Trent Reedy.
  • Digit! Digit’s cute little ears change by the hour. Sometimes both are down, sometimes he’s sporting the one-up, one-down look and sometimes they’re both up! I didn’t think that dog ears worked this way, but apparently Digit likes to stay unique. (And, yes, that is a clamp that it looks like Digit’s gnawing on in that one picture; it’s the perfect bully stick holder—it prevents him from swallowing that last little bit, which can be dangerous. He’s actually chewing the bully stick, not the clamp.)

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

  1. Hope moving into college goes well for your eldest! I know it can be a stressful time for a lot of parents and students! Happy August 🙂

  2. Aww, Digit! That clamp is a good idea. I wish I’d thought of that when I had dogs that loved to chew. My current dog is an idiot and doesn’t know what to do with bones. Thanks for reminding me of my blogiversary! I completely forgot. I hope you have a great week!

  3. Time out, you are on S7 and you DIDN’T TELL ME!?!?! ? Gosh now I want to talk about it! Digit is ADORABLE, my goodness. Also, COLLEGE!? That cannot be possible. Are you okay? Also is college even still happening? I am legit having a secondhand panic attack for you, is that a thing? Well, it is now. I really hope it all goes well!

  4. Aw, you know I love all the Digit photos! And omg, your oldest is going to college this week??!! Craziness! I hope they have a blast though. I know it’s weird with COVID.

    • I did see one on Amazon, but when I read reviews a lot of people said it didn’t work with their bully sticks because they weren’t thick enough. I’ll have to look again. For right now, the clamp has been working pretty darn well (though sometimes I do have to use the disc sander in the garage to smooth a little spot for it. LOL!).
