This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
Finally, I’m getting a Sunday Post up on time! I worked this weekend at Barnes & Noble, but managed to get most of the post written by Friday and finished it up last night.
- I’ve been much more active on Instagram lately. I’m trying to post every day or at least every couple of days. If you don’t already follow me on Instagram, you should! 🙂
- Noah’s 18th birthday! My youngest turned 18 yesterday. We’re basically celebrating next weekend when the older two come home, but we did eat yummy pancakes at IHOP! (And a really tasty omelet–I actually liked IHOP more than I remembered.)
- The marathon is next weekend. Our training is tapering now, so I only had to run 8 miles this week, but next Sunday it’s the big 26. Yikes!!!! (And here’s one last mention of my fundraising for World Vision. I’m close to hitting my goal, but I haven’t quite gotten there yet.)
What I Read This Week:
- I finished reading Charlie Hernández and the League of Shadows by Ryan Calejo and then I read the other two books in the series, Charlie Hernández and the Castle of Bones, and Charlie Hernández and the Golden Dooms.
- I finished listening to The Orpheus Plot by Christopher Swiedler and started listening to Made You Up by Francesca Zappia.
What I Watched:
- I finished watching NEW GIRL this week. They gave us a satisfying ending to the series.
- And then I jumped back in to season 3 of STRANGER THINGS.

It’s great everyone was able to celebrate Noah’s birthday. They are growing up. I wish you luck on your run. I could swim or maybe bike but running is too high impact for me.

Did Noah pick IHOP for his birthday? If so, I wholeheartedly agree with this choice. There are really only two good places for the right kind of pancake – IHOP and Cracker Barrel. Thanks for the birthday shout out, and wow! I cannot believe your training is almost done. How exciting!

Your marathon is already coming up?! Good luck! You got this! And a very happy birthday to your son! My baby brothers also turned 18 this year and it’s still so weird! Lol.
Happy birthday to Noah, and good luck with the marathon! I never made it to a full marathon during my training. The farthest I’ve ever run is 13 miles. That was hard! I can’t imagine doubling it and surviving.
