The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

  • I’m an Author Mentor Match round 8 mentor!! If you’ve never heard of Author Mentor Match, it’s a fantastic resource for writers. Basically, agented and published authors mentor writers who have taken their manuscript as far as they can by themselves. I’m very excited to being co-mentoring with the fabulous, Megan E. Freeman. The two of us have the same agent and we’ve been working together for just over a year as critique partners (and cheerleaders), and we so value that relationship. We’re excited to share that with an mentee who’s just starting out on the publishing journey! The two of us make a great team! AMM will be accepting mentee applications starting on January 11th, so if you’re a writer with a completed manuscript and you’re interested in working with a mentor you should apply!
  • Watching SupernaturalWe’re almost done with season five of Supernatural.
  • Reading
    • More reading for the Cybils Awards!
    • I continued listening to Ghosts of Greenglass House (working my way up to book four of this series since I have such a hard time reading books out of order).
    • I finished reading Toro and then read The Girl Who Speaks Bear, The Barren Grounds, Bones in the Wall, and Mulan: Before the Sword.
  • Working on window and door casements in the office. We got one window done and are just about to start the door casements.
  • Decorating. The Christmas decorations are going up! The tree isn’t up yet, so I won’t bother sharing a pic until next week.
  • The Dogs! No crazy antics (unlike last week). So here are a couple of random shots instead.

Digit sleeping next to his food bowl.
Always ready for a meal.

Digit with a washcloth hanging from his tooth
No, Mom, I haven’t seen the washcloth. And I definitely haven’t chewed on it.

I can’t believe it, but your dog sleeps in exactly the same position as my cat ! I’ll have to post the picture to show you ^^ And while she sleeps in that position on the sofa, we’re catching up on season 8 of Supernatural in… our chairs. Have a great week 🙂

  2. The pup pics are adorable! Such a handsome boy (girl?) 🙂

We decorated the house this week and then added a tree after the house was finished. I think it’s the first time we’ve done it that way around but it worked really well. It’s earlier than we’d usually decorate but with this year being as it has been… It was needed.

Hope you enjoy the rest of Supernatural! I watched the first couple of seasons years ago and it freaked me out (I’m such a scaredy-cat!) and then when I decided to try again there were so many seasons… It’s too intimidating now, lol.

  3. That Dreadful Fairy Book sounds so adorable! Love the photos of Digit – so cute. Thanks for sharing about the Author Mentor Match. I’ll have to try and finish my manuscript by then. LOL
