The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
Not much to say about this week. We’ve just been chugging along; the week has had its ups and downs on my daughter’s mental health front, but I don’t want to make this a place for me to constantly complain about that. It’s taken up a lot of my energy, though, so I don’t have much else to tell you about. I will say we found an Intensive Outpatient program for her finally, though, so that is definitely good.
What I Read This Week:
- I finished reading Jennifer Chan is Not Alone by Tae Keller. Loved it!
What I Watched:
- I’ve watched as much as I can of the current season of The Circle. I don’t know why this show is so addictive to me, but it is. Total guilty pleasure.
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

I’ve officially decided to take the giveaways section out of my Sunday Post. It’s just been too hard for me to keep up with along with the pre-order campaigns, and I feel like the pre-order section is more valuable, so I’m going to focus on that. Many of the giveaways I featured were links to sites that host them all the time, so feel free to check an older Sunday Post for links to those. I hope you’ve found out about some great giveaways here over the years!
Lots of good stuff! Have any news? Feel free to share in the comments!
Glad you were able to find a program for your daughter, but sorry she is going through a hard time.
My daughter went through a hard time and attended a three-week intensive program that helped her and also some of her friends. I hope it helps your daughter. It is so hard watching our kids struggle with mental health issues.
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that whenever you comment lately, it brings me to http://www.literaryrambles.comA (the extra a at the end obviously throws things off). Doesn’t matter much because I know how to find you, but I just thought I’d mention it.
Sorry things are a bit stressful. I hope that what you’ve found for your daughter will be helpful. I’m sure it’s even more stressful to see the ones you love deal with that than just dealing with any personal issues. Jennifer Chan sounds good! I need to try The Circle I think. Hope that you have a good week.
Don’t forget to take a moment to breathe for yourself. My daughter has had many medical issues and I spend a lot of time maintaining the things she needs.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thanks so much for this advice. I do think I need it. 🙂
I hope the program you found will be able to help your daughter, and consequently, you’ll get to de-stress a bit!
I’m glad you’re able to find more help for your daughter and I hope it helps her. Have a great week.
Echoing everyone else, I am very glad that you were able to find something that is hopefully a good fit, but so sorry that your daughter is struggling still. I am sending all my love, and good vibes that this program will be the help she needs.
Also- I have to say, I totally feel you with paring down, I have been trying to do that a lot too, it is just so HARD to keep up with all the things!
Sorry to hear that things are still rough with your daughter’s mental health problems. Big hugs to you all.
I feel like things have definitely been moving in a positive direction since we found this outpatient program, so hopefully they will continue that way. Hope you had a wonderful birthday, by the way!!
I’m glad you liked the Tae Keller book. I really want to read that one. I hope you’re having a great week!
I absolutely love Tae Keller!
