Sunday Post header

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

What’s been happening since my last Sunday Post:

My cover reveal!! I think most of you already saw, but if you didn’t yet, go check out the cover for THE SONG OF ORPHAN’S GARDEN. It’s absolutely everything I hoped it would be, and as a reader who definitely judges a book by its cover, I couldn’t be more thrilled!

Website for the Middle Grade Escapades: Some of us who are debuting in 2025 created a group to help hype our books a bit. I’ve been working hard on creating a website for us, and it’s done now! Of course, it will be updated a lot in the future as more of us have covers, release dates, etc, but you should definitely check it out and see the middle grade debuts coming in 2025! (The fun orange logo was created by Alby C. Williams.) You’ll find the website here – Middle Grade Escapades.

What I Read:

  • I read (and reviewed) Just Like Click by Sandra Grubb. I loved this one—go check out my review and the author’s Top Ten Addictions!
  • I also finished reading Daughters of the Lamp by Nedda Lewers, an Islam-based fantasy that will take kids on an adventure through time!
  • Then I read Mexikid by Pedro Martín, a graphic novel memoir that was nominated for the Barnes & Noble Children’s & YA Book Awards. This road trip story will show kids a side of Mexico most of them have probably never seen!
  • Finally, I listened to Once There Was by Kiyash Monsef, another book nominated for the B&N kids’ book awards. This book is so gorgeously written!!! I only have one more book to read for the awards!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

  1. That’s smart of you and other middle grade debut authors to form a group to support each other. Being part of the 2025 debut author group would be be really helpful too. I bookmarked Middle Grade Escapades and will try to feature some of you at Literary Rambles next year. Your website design is great. Though I think it would help if you could list the month of publication either on the author or book page (your cover doesn’t have the date) so bloggers looking to featuring these books don’t have to search through every author or book to figure out when they’re going to be released.

  2. Ooo all of the books you read look wonderful! I have been reading so many middle grade books this year and enjoying it so much. I started by previewing books for my son but now I just read a lot of them for me. Lol. Have a great week!

  3. I blog at my own blog but i am reviewer for a website that focuses on middle grade, ya and kid books so if you want to send them review copies then the staff gets to pick and review on their website. The website is yabookscentral.com. I also love reviewing these genres on my own blog if you looking for reviewers. I am currently reading a door in the dark, the defy the night series and a feather so black.
