My Goings On in September:
- I went to the 6th Annual Novel Cuisine Luncheon. I never did end up writing a recap for the event, but it was lots of fun and there were plenty of fantastic books AND lots of fantastic food!
- Our homeschool co-op is in full swing, so I’m now teaching four classes. Yikes! (I should point out that three of these classes only meet once a week, so it’s not as crazy as it sounds).
Most Popular Posts:
- My top post for this month still seems to be the Spoiler-Filled Discussion of Three Dark Crowns, but second was my Spoiler-Filled Discussion of One Dark Throne. I’ve puzzled over my stats for a while now, and I think I might write a post about it…
- Next was my August Wrap-Up Round-Up Giveaway (with a new interactive Make Me Read It twist) – I was really happy to see this post get some attention because I’m excited about this giveaway. Speaking of, I’ve chosen the winner: AJ from Read All the Things. We’re going to be doing a dual review of Dreamland Burning, so watch for that!

I read SO many great books this month, but I had to go with the one I’ve been anticipating all year…

CHALLENGE GOAL ACHIEVED!
I reviewed nine fantasies this month (again, a few are more paranormal or sci-fi dystopian, but I’m counting them since it looks like the people who run the challenge count these types of books).
Still haven’t read any more of Alexa and Rachel’s favorites: The Winner’s Curse! I’m keeping the others here to remind me: Throne of Glass, The Girl of Fire and Thorns, Six of Crows, Graceling.

Wrap-Up Round-Up!
Don’t forget to link your September wrap-up posts up to the Monthly Wrap-Up Round-Up! And check out the giveaway, which will be posted here on Feed Your Fiction Addiction right around the 7th!
You’ve done so well on your challenges! The year’s nearly over, so I’ve given up on most of mine. 🙂
It’s mostly because I sign up for challenges that I can manage to succeed in without really doing anything special. Ironically, the one challenge I’m failing at is the Discussion Challenge. I just haven’t managed to pst as many discussions this year!
I can’t believe how many reviews you posted in September! I’m thoroughly impressed– I’m lucky if I can manage four in one month. 😉
I used to review way MORE actually. I’ve slowed way down over the years. But bite-sized reviews definitely help! 🙂
Your love for challenges has me thinking that I may join a few next year. I have never done one before, not even the Goodreads challenge. But you make it seem not as scary lol, and I’m already making a list of a few that I know I should be able to complete. ?
I tend to join challenges that I know I’d be able to fulfill anyway. That makes it seem not nearly so daunting!
That’s a whole lotta reading going on, and so many had decent ratings. That’s a good month, indeed! Happy October!
Very good reading month!
One Dark Throne was so good. Blake is make some great decisions in those storylines and I am super excited for the next book. Good luck with the teaching. I taught Chemistry for 12 years (don’t miss it), it’s a tough job.
Totally agree with you about ODT—I’m super excited about the next book now! I don’t know that I could handle being a public school teacher. I get a little bit of the best of both worlds with my homeschool co-op.
Three Dark Crowns/ One Dark Throne are so rife for discussion, I’m not surprised those were your top posts! In fact I better revisit your ODT spoiler post to see all the latest theories. 🙂 And great job on the Flights of Fantasy challenge- I thought about doing that one this year.
That Bookopoly board looks awesome! Have a great week!
Isn’t the Bookopoly board fun? I wish I was more on top of keeping up with the challenge, though—I keep forgetting to head over to her blog and see if she has anything new going on with it.
[…] This time I’m linking up with the usual crew at the Caffeinated Reviewer and the Sunday post, also with Stacking the Shelves at Tynga’s Reviews and Mailbox Monday, Feed Your Fiction Addiction. […]
Thanks for linking up!
Happy October 🙂 I’ve also signed up for the discussion challenge in today’s post 😀 I just have a question. Where do I look up my October discussions, when I post them? 😀
“Look up”? I obviously wanted to write “link up” xD
Ha! This actually threw me at first. Don’t you just love typos?
Yay! I’m glad you joined us! You should always find the latest link-up post toward the bottom of the Sign-Up post (which can be accessed from the sidebar of my blog). Of course, I just now realized that I hadn’t added the link for October there yet—but I usually do it as soon as I post the month’s link-up!
So many challenges. Looks like you are doing mostly well. I see so many great books you read this month too!
I’m a sucker for challenges! 🙂
One book ahead is still pretty great! I hope you had a fantastic September. If you still WANT to do a write-up on your luncheon, I know I’d love to hear about it. 🙂

I should still do it. I realized just yesterday that I never even said which books I got!
Wow you’ve achieved so many goals already! YAY! good for you Nicole! omg food and books! that’s sounds like heaven! Glad you had a good time. I wish I could home-school my kids! I’d love it! Your kids are lucky !
Sometimes my kids think they’re lucky to have me homeschool them. Depends on what day you ask them! 🙂
You are doing so good in your challenges! I’ve only managed to complete two of my challenges so far. I’m trying to catch up on the others. You posted so many reviews in September, it seriously inspires me to get my butt in gear to work on those reviews I’ve been putting off.
I hope you have a wonderful October!
Ironically, the one challenge I’m really behind on is my own! 🙂
You know, I love the challenges you take part in, next year Ima do them too!
You should! They’re fun!
I also enjoy how well you are doing on your challenges and value your reviews to help me decide what to read/buy next. I recently finished my first Paula Stokes book (that took me way too long to start reading her work). Paula sent me a kindle copy of The Key to Everything for a review which I hope to post today. I’m not as involved in reading challenges, but I am enjoying all the debuts out this year for my Debut Author challenge.
I just now realized that I’m not your friend on Goodreads—not sure how that happened, but I just sent a request! I’ll have to read your review of Paula’s book!
