(My Actual) Sunday (Monday) Post & Giveaways Galore

April 2, 2018 Sunday Post, Uncategorized 25

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

As much as I wish all of the things in my April 1st Sunday Post were true, alas, they were not. Sorry if I had you excited about my pretend book deal there for a minute. I hope someday I can actually make that announcement (maybe minus the part about killing off my main character in my MG—I’m guessing that wouldn’t go over well). If you didn’t read yesterday’s April Fools’ Sunday Post, go check it out. I’m hoping some of my “creative” pre-order deals and giveaways will give you a laugh!

I didn’t want to let you guys miss out on the actual news for this week, though, so I’m doing this little follow-up.

First off, hope you had a wonderful Easter if you celebrate! We had a nice relaxing day.

On Saturday, I took my two older kids (and my mom) to see Love, Simon! I’m really happy that the movie did the book justice and we all really enjoyed it!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, you can always fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book-Haul

For Review:

I got this surprise in my mailbox (well, okay, on my doorstep) this week. I’ll confess that I hadn’t heard of Page Street Publishing or The Queen Underneath, but a little searching convinced me that this is a book I’ll love!

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

Pre-Order Deals:

Listed in order of release date. Any new deals that I just added to the list this week will be denoted with a *** so you can easily find them!

Please note: Almost all pre-order giveaways run “while supplies last,” so I can’t guarantee that they’ll be open until the date listed. Pre-0rder early for your best chance to get all the goodies!

Other Current Giveaways on FYFA:

(Besides the ones listed with this week’s posts)

Even More Awesome Giveaways on Other Sites:

Lots of good stuff! Have any giveaways or great discussions happening on your site right now? Feel free to share them in the comments!

Well, you didn’t have me giggling in this one but it seems like you had a pretty good week even if it didn’t entail a book deal. 😉 I’m happy Love, Simon was done so well and congrats on your book haul. I look forward to seeing what you think about it. 🙂 Have a great week, Nicole!

Haha, I only just read your April’s fool’s post but I love your creative pre-order deals! Good thing I didn’t see it yesterday though, because I’m that gullible I would probably have been like ‘wow, I get a zombie repellent with dread nation? That’ll come in useful if there’s an apocalypse!’ It’s not good being this gullible round April Fool’s Day!
Anyway, I’m sure you’ll actually be announcing a book deal on here at some point!
Thanks for sharing my post, and have a good week 🙂

  3. Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight

All of these giveaways and pre-order deals pale in comparison to your fake ones 😂 “yeah, okay fine, free books, but I could have had my very own zombie repellent!” I love the cover of Queen Underneath so I am pretty jealous! Glad you had a nice Easter, and a nice time at Love, Simon! I need to read it, and then see it!

Oh you’ll see they will become true! your “creative” pre-order deals did make me laugh XD Glad to hear you all enjoyed Easter and the movie!

  5. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Glad you enjoyed Love, Simon. I totally thought the movie kept the spirit of the book and did it justice. The Queen Underneath has a gorgeous cover! Hope you’re having a great week, Nicole!
